Could this be Newcastles best..

Could this be Newcastles best..

In their words, we’re “small but mighty.” We prefer delightfully caffeinated and dangerously charming, but hey, we’ll take it.

The word is out

Nestled snugly on Hunter Street, we’ve always liked flying a little under the radar. But when someone writes a love letter about your coffee, your vibes, and your green veg toastie (yes, they mentioned the toastie), it’s only fair to do a humble brag or two.

The article gives a nod to:

  • Our espresso game (strong, smooth, and slightly addictive),

  • Our tiny little kitchen (a sandwich press, which is where the magic happens),

  • And our good-natured chaos, which is kind of the brand, if we’re honest.

Yes, the green veg toasties are that good

We’re not saying they’ve achieved cult status, but we have seen grown adults get misty-eyed when we sell out. (Sorry, Barry. Come earlier next time.)

HunterHunter calls us a “must-visit” in the Newcastle coffee scene, and while we usually let the coffee do the talking, it feels good to be seen.

A day in the life of Good Brother

If you haven’t dropped by yet, here’s the usual routine:

  • Step inside

  • Get hit with the smell of fresh-ground beans and possibly someone’s oat flat white who ordered ahead

  • Order a coffee that will make your soul tap dance

  • Pick up some baked goods & have a chat with familiar faces.

  • Linger just a bit too long in the doorway because it’s that kind of place

Shoutout time

Big love to HunterHunter as always for the write-up, the kind words, and for managing to describe our vibe without once using the word hipster (well played).

And of course, thanks to our regulars, new faces, dog-walkers, coffee-snobs, and green veg toastie-devotees and all of you who keep us brewing!
